FLU file format (SIC version 4.33)

This ASCII file is created by EDIFLU or with any ASCII file editor. It contains the hydraulic data for the steady flow calculation program FLUVIA. It will be checked with the EDIFLU program and a file (.DON) for FLUVIA will be created.

This file is for the old SIC 4.33 versions or earlier. These files can be imported from SIC version 5 and later. This is the reason why this format, now obsolete, is nevertheless described. They can be imported in interface mode, to create a new scenario, or also in batch mode (one or several FLU files), in complement of a TAL geometry file.

No special order is followed to write this data file. The various possible line types are described below, each line starting with a particular emblem.

Line for the calculation mode at the nodes

By default, Fluvia does the calculation by writing the equality of the elevations at the nodes. The following option proposes to use instead the equality of the total heads at the nodes, with possibly introduction of a head loss at the entry and exit of the reach. This head loss is of the form DH=K.V*V/(2g). ‘H’, I, PCAM(I), PCAV(I) in format (A1,I3,6X,2F10.5) H in column 1 I = number of the reach PCAM(I) = head loss coefficient at the upstream of the reach PCAV(I) = head loss coefficient at the downstream of the reach
