It is also possible to start from a previous unsteady flow calculation (hot start). Unit 3 allows, for example, to study the transition from one rotational schedule to another. In addition, it calculates the offtake discharges knowing the offtake openings.

If you want to automatically compute a regulator gate opening, knowing the target upstream water level for example, it is necessary to incorporate special regulation modules. Using regulation modules you can address this type of problem, or similar problems involving water surface elevation or discharge targets.
