How to make a network
Launch EdiSIC with the program’s icon located on the Windows® desktop or in the "Start" menu.
If a project is already open, create a new project (File Menu> New or button) and save the file in XML format.
It is possible to use a base map to facilitate the capture and understanding of the network (see Using a base map).
The first step in creating the network is to describe its topology (ie, draw nodes and reaches). This step is described on page Creating a network (nodes and reaches).
Then, describe the geometry of nodes and reaches:
- The geometry of the nodes only means to describe the pond located in the node (see Description of node and pond).
- The geometry of the reaches is to describe sections in each reach (see Creating sections and description of cross sections).
At each record of the file, if there are inconsistencies in the network, the software prompts to view and correct them (see Managing inconsistencies in the network).
Once we have obtained a coherent network, we can start the mesh network (see Execution of the mesh (Talweg)).
