Scenario and variant: operating instructions
In a scenario, all the data needed to launch a calculation in steady or unsteady flow are defined. Variant (of a scenario) will allow to overwrite some parameters of the scenario while keeping the data as a reference scenario for all non-modified settings.
Changing the settings modified by the variant is only possible in the variable management table.
The following table defines where items of the hydraulic mode can be set:
Item | Scenario | Variant |

As an unsteady flow calculation requires an initial condition, it is advisable to perform the various simulations (steady and one or more unsteady flow) in a scenario and create a variant by unsteady flow simulation you want to perform.
