The geometry files of previous version of the SIC software can be imported via the File > Open menu, and selecting the .TAL file.

The formats of the .TAL files included are the formats of versions 4. *, as well as the versions generated by the PamHyr editor (Irstea Lyon).

Then, the software automatically suggests to save as a .xml project file.

Even though projects can still be saved as .TAL files, data regarding new functionalities of SIC can only be saved in a .xml project file.
